We started out primarily a BOP well control company. Since then, high pressure test units, high pressure greasing units, grease manifolds, stroke counters for grease. Everything has changed, working with saving time out on a frac location, so most of our equipment now is more towards saving time, as far as how fast we can grease, how fast the next crew can get going for the next stage of frac.

What makes Meyer unique over most other companies our size and even larger is that we started out as a service company, and we’ve always maintained service stations in all the major shells and oil and gas drilling locations around the country. We keep a stocked service facility at multiple locations. Very few competitors, if any, have as many as we do around the country We take care of our equipment that we’ve built, and also all other makes and models that are out there. Those are accumulator units, greasing units, test units, everything.

We also try to listen to our customers, to find our what it is that they’ve got coming up next, the product they’re going to be needing. We try to develop with R&D new pieces of equipment that will help save time and money in the future.

I feel we will jump through almost every hoop possible to make something happen. I try to make every deadline. I try to say that there’s nothing we can’t do. I sometimes refuse to take no for an answer, which usually turns out well.

The greatest achievement that we’ve made at Meyer, and possibly as me as President, is we’ve come from being a small service company to five locations. The majority share of the accumulator manufacturing business in the United States on the frac side, we have probably as large a fleet for an accumulator manufacturing company that there is, and we’ve always done it using the very best products we can use. We’ve never short-changed anyone, we have never shorted any of our quality on the service or the manufacturing side or on any of our rental equipment. We’ve always tried to maintain that we weren’t here to be the least expensive, we were here to be the best, and I feel we’ve done that.

Five years from now, I envision us having a larger presence internationally. I also feel that we will design several new products over the coming years. We’re always looking to save customers money and time by coming up with new products. I certainly see us with more facilities in different areas, depending on the growth in the oilfield drilling industry.
